GLOBALINQ Awarded Blanket Purchase Agreement by Department
of Commerce, U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO)
(MARIETTA, GA) - GLOBALINQ Technologies, Inc. announced today
that it has been awarded a blanket purchase agreement by the
Department of Commerce, U.S. Patent & Trademark Office
to provide information technology products and services.
Under the contract, GLOBALINQ Technologies will provide a
variety of IT products and services in support of the agency's
mission and technology requirements. The period of performance
is three years, effective August 23, 2002 through August 22,
2005.
Through the issuance of patents, USPTO encourages technological
advancement by providing incentives to invent, invest in,
and disclose new technology worldwide. Through the registration
of trademarks, USPTO assists businesses in protecting their
investments, promoting goods and services, and safeguarding
consumers against confusion and deception in the marketplace.
By disseminating both patent and trademark information, they
promote an understanding of intellectual property protection
and facilitate the developments and sharing of new technologies
world wide.
